A wide variety of Do It Yourself (D.I.Y) Projects & Tutorials Can be found on line.  Look for ones that provide detailed instructions with images.  Some even include How-To videos. Look for projects that relate to your major and/or interest.

Project Requirements

1.  You will complete 4, 3D project this semester

2.  You will have 3 weeks to complete each 

3.  You must devote at least 15 hours to each project

4.  Think about how the project relate to your major

5.  Imagine how the projects will look together in an exhibition

6.  Must spend at least $45 in this class

7.  Calculate the cost of each project 

Web Page Requirements

1.  Each project must be easy to locate on your web page (I prefer Blogger)

2.  Any one must be able to leave comments/critiques

3.  Document your design process (brainstorming, sketches, prototype, etc.)

4.  Write a paragraph about why you choose to do each project

5.  Photograph your steps

6.  Document your expenses (you can upload a photo of your receipt)

7.  Critique your work once complete

8.  List your resources and inspiration
9. link to your Pinterest account, Behance account, etc.

Assessment - How you will be Graded

Content: Does the piece satisfy the requirements?  

Complexity: How challenging or involved was the response to the assignment?  

Craftsmanship: How well was the piece produced, attention to details?  

Creativity: How unique was the idea? How personal?  

Effort:  How substantial was your work on this piece and your contributions to the class discussion?

Critiques

At the end of three weeks, we will each be required to critique three of your classmate’s projects by leaving comments on their web page.
